Fitness trainer-to-the-famous Gabreal Velez has got you covered.

With 25 years of personal training under his “weight” belt, this Los Angeles native just relocated and opened his boutique workout headquarters, Pure Private Fitness, in Henderson, Nevada – what he hopes will be the first of many luxurious training gyms across the country.

“I always want to be a step above,” says Velez.

His past clients – which include Microsoft founder Paul Allen, the Saudi royal family, and actor Richard Dreyfus, (“that was the biggest turning point of my life”) – had him working out around-the-world on yachts (Monte Carlo), movie sets (South America), and even the Seattle Seahawks training camp. At one time, he was the official personal trainer at the Hotel Bel-Air, and he even co-designed athletic centers in the south of France. So the idea to go it alone wasn’t a stretch.

While this high-end, private gym is small in size, it is big on state-of-the-art gear. Velez, his staff, and outside personal trainers (who pay an access fee), can help you get your “exercise on” using Olympics-approved Ivanko hand-weights, Pure Strength machines, and a “digital kinesiology wall” that comes equipped with 200 different exercises.

Velez says he’s also the first to bring Techno Gym, created by the same Italian architect who designed the Bulgari Resort Dubai, to the west coast. It allows Bluetooth access so you can sync all your workouts to your Smart phone, and the video screens make you feel like you’re really running a marathon, or simply enjoying a jog on the beach.

If hi-tech isn’t your jam, Pure Private Fitness offers Pilates, kickboxing, and cycling. Velez says you can round out the experience with your own personalized meal plan, thanks to BLT Foods (bltfoods.com), topped off with an idrink and a refreshingly cold eucalyptus towel.
Now that his flagship fitness center is off the ground, Velez – together with his business partners Dr. William and Dana Wong – says he’s pumped to promote his next franchise, opening soon in Summerlin, Nevada.

“You do what you love,” says Velez. “Working out is my passion and I think this is my true calling.”
